He is so nice and very helpful. Even after a year he remembers us and is willing to help in whatever we need. I highly recommend Matthews costume pools!

  Charlie is wonderful. He saved our family too from a terrible experience. Our story is very similar to the other review. Charlie is a very nice man always willing to help. He finished our pool quickly and it is beautify. He got us excited about having a pool again. Even after a year he remembers us and is still willing to help with whatever we need.

  Charlie saved my family from a horrible experience! We started our pool construction with another company that kept giving us the run around and took our money. Charlie swooped in a completed our pool within 45 days, while the other company had already taken 6 months without going past the digging. Charlie was wonderful at communicating next steps and ensuring contractors completed the work promptly.

  Charlie installed our pool and spa in 1998. Last year, he replastered it, installed new tile, coping and lights in 5 days and the pool looks new again. He is always available to answer questions before, during and after construction. He is top-notch. Martin.

  I had come to the conclusion that there wasn't a good, trustworthy pool company in Texas. Then I met Charlie Matthews. During the last three years, we have used Charlie's company on a number of occasions. We've used Charlie to install a new heater, replaster our pool and resurface our pool deck and patio. He is never been the low cost bidder but he is always fair and competitive. Both he and the folks he uses are absolute perfectionists. From what I can tell, there really isn't anybody more knowledgeable or experienced in that industry. Here's the best part, in every project that Charlie's done for us he has come in days early from his original estimate. I would highly recommend Charlie to anybody and I can't foresee using anybody else on any future projects.

  My wife and I have known Charlie Matthews since March 1989 when he built our first pool. When we moved to our current home in 1998, we immediately had Charlie build our current pool. Charlie has been working with most of the same people (brick mason's, plumbers, electricians, deck builders, etc) for the last 20 years. Many of the same guys that built our first pool built our current pool as as well. Other than normal wear and tear items, we've never had a problem with either pool. Charlie is honest, never takes "shortcuts", and he only has professional crews build his pools. We wouldn't have anyone else build a pool for us.   I wanted both a pool and a hot tub but my yard was quite small. Charlie designed a beautiful pool and hot tub, while still leaving us some decking area. At the time of the building of my pool (2007) Charlie had never done a valet system in a swimming pool. He did an excellent job and we have never had a minute of trouble with it. I highly recommend Charlie as a pool builder and would certainly use him again.

  this is the 2nd time we have used Charlie Mathews for our pools. 1st time was 20 years ago. The 2nd pool just completed. ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR QUALITY, as always. There is no one that builds a better oool then Charlie, hands down.

  Charlie KNOWS what he's doing. He knows how to design, how to get the right subs, how to plumb and build a pool that will last longer than your house. He is also trustworthy and reliable. I was a skeptic and didn't want a pool in the beginning and was going along for the family's sake. Now that it's done I know it was the right thing to do and Charlie was the right builder to go with. He's done this for a long time and knows the pitfalls that other builders get tripped up by and will not cut corners to build a quality pool. Ask questions about your shell, plumbing, pool equipment, plaster and decking. Compare answers from others and Charlie. He will tell you how competition answered and why and teach you what to look for. Finally, the crews that work with him all have long time relationships with him and are the best in the business and as trustworthy as Charlie. From excavation to gunite to coping, decking, plaster and pool school... I spoke to all of them and they all do quality work because of the relationship Charlie has fostered. You will not go wrong having Charlie build your pool. Thanks Charlie!

  Charlie and his entire crew have been nothing but GREAT! The pool and grotto are gorgeous and beyond our expectations. The entire process was done very professionally and in a short period of time.
